St. Francis High School in Athol Springs boasts an elite hockey program and won the 2026 USA Hockey High School National Championship. Featuring four competitive teams; Prep, Varsity and two Junior Varsity teams and storied tradition of winning and developing players for the highest levels of competition. Renowned for academic excellence, athletic achievement, and a beautiful campus just south of Buffalo, NY, St. Francis offers a premier environment for student-athletes.

Prep

2026 USA HOCKEY NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL CHAMPIONS!

Compete in the MPHL, MMAA and competes in traditional Prep tournaments and Europe annually.

Red Raider HC/

Buffalo Regals U18AAA

USA Hockey program for midget hockey players attending St. Francis. U18 AAA and U18 AA level,

Varsity

Varsity Hockey has a complete schedule and competes against some of the top high schools in Western New York and New York State. Traditionally composed of senior, junior and sophomore student athletes.

Modified Hockey

Team for 8th graders who will be enrolled at St. Francis the next fall. Season starts in March and finishes in May.

Junior Varsity

Development teams traditionally made of up of freshman, sophomore and junior student athletes. The JV programs have a tradition of winning and play in the NFJVHL.
